Okuma, Gosiger, Additive technology, IMTS 2018
July 17, 2018
Gosiger personnel will be on hand in Okuma America’s IMTS booth 2018 (338500, South Hall) throughout the Show to introduce visitors to the latest CNC machining technologies including:
The Okuma MU-8000V advanced 5-axis machining center incorporates a Trumpf laser to provide additive manufacturing capabilities to augment traditional CNC subtractive machining. The laser metal deposition (LMD) additive technology uses laser melting and bonding to the workpiece material to enable 3-D fabrication of a variety of materials. As a result, users can produce unique parts with many different shapes and sizes, all in one machine.
This compact, 5-axis VMC is the affordable way for any size shop to make high-precision parts in a “one-and-done” setup. Exceptional accuracy, rigidity and table rotation speed, plus true, simultaneous 5-axis machining means you won’t sacrifice performance for the economical price.
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is nothing new for Okuma and Gosiger. The Okuma OSP-P control and NET BOX suite-S form the basis for the Connect Plan that provides visual control of your machine tools and factory operation status from anywhere.
Contact your local Gosiger facility and schedule an in-booth appointment to see how Okuma’s CNC technologies – supported by Gosiger’s 95+ years of manufacturing experience – can boost your productivity and enhance your bottom line. Not signed up for IMTS 2018? Here’s how.
